New Trail Surveillance and Rescue ATV

Over the last year, we have seen another huge increase in trail usage in Lake County while at the same time, revenue to support this increase has dropped significantly.  In normal years we put on a variety of events (ORV and non-ORV) that generate money to put back into the program.  That couldn’t happen this year.

We are currently in serious need of a new ATV for the Lake County Sheriff’s Department for Trail Surveillance and Rescue.  This is especially critical because we have seen an increase in need on the smaller trails which are only accessible by ATV.  The ATV procured must be capable of pulling the rescue sled and additional support personnel during rescue operations.  The grant money received to date is not sufficient to cover the expense of the new ATV so the IATA (Irons Area Tourist Association) which is the parent organization for the MFO (Manistee Forest ORV), would like to generate enough money to cover the shortfall by asking for donations.

If you would like to help out, please consider giving a donation at the link below.  Your donation will be a secure transaction via Paypal (a paypal account is not needed, credit cards are accepted by clicking the next button down on the paypal donate screen).  We are not specifying any given donation amount.  Anything is appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your donation and support of the Lake County trail system.
